Keith Krey, Stewardship Coordinator

Keith’s goal as Stewardship Coordinator is to develop our current volunteer programs and incorporate more volunteer programs focused towards conservation and preservation. Keith is looking forward to working with and empowering members of the Winnebago county community to be conscientious stewards of our environment.

We asked Keith some questions to help our current and future FPWC volunteers to get to know him a little more:

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: “I am married to my beautiful wife, Allyson, and we have an adorable 16-month daughter, Lennox.”

Q: Do you have any pets?

A: “My wife has a 20-year-old Himalayan Siamese cat that is mine too…I guess.”

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: “All tied for first – tacos, burgers, and pizza.”

Q: What is your favorite book or movie?

A: “Star Wars – Empire Strikes Back”

Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

A: “The Golden Eagle. It was important to many Native American tribes, who admired the eagle’s courage and strength, and ascribed mystical powers to the bird and even to its feathers…sounds pretty cool!”

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time/what are your hobbies?

A: “Collecting vintage Star Wars action figures *nerd alert*”

Q: Name one thing that is on your bucket list.

A: “Travel more. 1) Japan 2) Iceland 3) New Zealand”
