Preserve Maintenance – North/South Areas
Perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors or are interested in entering a career in the parks and recreation field, you’ll perform routine grounds keeping tasks amid beautiful surroundings!  Mowing, trimming, litter pickup, and facility cleaning are just some of the varied tasks. Campground Host – Hononegah and Seward Bluffs
Who wouldn’t want to work where the great outdoors is your office and the daily commute is a hike around the campground?  We’re looking for individuals or couples who enjoy the outdoors to serve as campground hosts, where you’ll greet visitors, collect camping fees, track vacancies and perform minor maintenance tasks.  You must be at least 21 years old and provide your own recreational vehicle and camping equipment, but you’ll receive free camping privileges with utilities during your service! Campground Attendant – Sugar River Forest Preserves
Serves as an informational source to the public with respect to the campground, activities within the preserve, and community attractions. Represents the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County in a positive manner and maintains a working knowledge of rules and regulations in order to effectively communicate and educate campground customers. Processes Point of Sale (P.O.S.) transactions with campground customers, monitors reservations and campground activity. The typical season is mid-April to mid-November. Weekends and Holidays required, with scheduled hours falling primarily on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, between 7:00am and 10:00pm. You must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license. Customer service skills and an eye for detail are needed for this role. You’ll register golfers, sell golf merchandise and maintain our golf shop and locker rooms.
