News Updates

  • As of 7/19/24 the following forest preserves are closed due to severe storm damage & flooding: Fuller Memorial, Kilbuck Bluffs, Sugar River. At this time, the boat launch at Hononegah Forest Preserve is also closed due to flooding.

  • Sugar River Campground reservations are FULL for the following dates: June 6-9, 2024 and September 6-8, 2024. 

  • FPWC has been awarded a $50,000 subgrant by The Morton Arboretum’s Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) to improve its community tree canopy. Click here to read the full press release.
