News Updates

  • Asphalt work is planned for Friday, August 28 at the entrances of Seward Bluffs Forest Preserve and Sugar River Forest Preserve. General preserve users should plan to avoid these areas until the end of the day. Campers should plan to arrive later in the day or be prepared for delays.

  • Modifications are being made to the green trail at Deer Run Forest Preserve. To learn more about these modifications, click here.

  • The Forest Preserves of Winnebago County Board of Commissioners made two statements to Mayor Tom McNamara and the Rockford City Council regarding the proposed formation of the South Rockford Industrial Redevelopment Project Area.
